Evaluation of the combined driving cycle and its effect on fuel efficiency in a vehicle with an Otto cycle engine

The study proposed to analyze the combined driving cycles and their effect on fuel consumption within Distrito Metropolitano de Quito. For this, a test protocol was established where orography of land, traffic density road infrastructure District were studied. These factors allowed evaluation through global positioning system canister in order systematically travel set roads distance, time, average speed vehicle with an Otto cycle engine. data processed statistical analysis minimization weighted averages. findings revealed that obtained high reliability (99.7%) each procedure. outcome concluded differential by manufacturer, since there is variation 40% as manufacturer.
